Institute for Integrative Regenerative Medicine (IIRM)
Designed for Healing and Well-being: Holistic Systems Biology Approach
A global beacon for a new era in healthcare — where modern clinical evidence meets ancient wisdom and insights.
About IIRM
The Institute for Integrative Regenerative Medicine (IIRM) stands as a global beacon for a new era in healthcare — one that unites the precision of modern science with the wisdom of ancient traditions.
Founded in 2014, IIRM was born from the Swedish Institute for Regenerative Medicine (SIRM), originally established in 2009. What began in Scandinavia has since evolved into a visionary movement transforming health systems, education, and patient care across continents.

Through scientific inquiry, clinical innovation, and cross-cultural collaboration, IIRM leads a renaissance in human healing with several key initiatives across the globe.
International Integrative Medicine Conference (IIMC)
Now in its 7th edition, IIMC brings together leading practitioners, researchers, and healers from around the world.
Asian Network for Education in Cannabis (ANEC)
Pioneering education across Asian on medical cannabis, promoting research, policy, and therapeutic applications.
Global Health Collaborations
Our mission is to advance regenerative and longevity medicine through measurable, data-driven and personalised interventions that extend healthspan and improve quality of life.
We are building a global ecosystem that unites science, clinical practice, education, and research — bridging integrative medicine and biotech innovation.
Certificate of Proficiency in Regnerative Medicine
Our Certificate of Proficiency in Regenerative Medicine equips healthcare professionals with foundational knowledge and practical insights into cutting-edge regenerative therapies for clinical application.
Fitness Meets Medicine
This is our new initiative combining medical insight with exercise science to promote holistic health. We are launching a certification course to train professionals in this integrative space.
Our Leadership
Dr. Janethy Balakrishnan
Striving for Excellence in Every Patient Interaction.
Founder, Association of Integrative Medicine Malaysia (AIMM)
Also the co-Founder and the President of the Association of Integrative Medicine Malaysia (AIMM), Dr. Janethy brings over 36 years of clinical expertise, with more than 2 decades dedicated to integrative, personalized, and lifestyle medicine. An early pioneer in anti-aging, regenerative and aesthetic medicine, she sparked global conversations with her thought-provoking question: “Can aesthetic medicine be effective without anti-aging medicine?” blending aesthetics with nutritional and lifestyle medicine.
Educated in autologous stem cell, peptide and non-cell therapies in Germany since 2009, forming the scientific core of our regenerative work. She was also one of the pioneers studying genomics under the tutelage of a geneticist in Estonia. She is also a tireless educator, policy advocate, and global speaker championing empowered patient care and sustainable healing. Her philosophy places the patient at the center of care — informed, empowered, and actively engaged in their healing journey.
Nils Bokström
Strategic Architect for well being
Co-founder, Vision and Strategy
As co-founder of IIRM, Nils Bokström bridges East and West with a rare blend of scientific insight and visionary thinking. With academic double majors in biology and mathematics, and later in nutrition, his leadership is grounded in systems design, regenerative medicine, and longevity innovation. Educated in stem cell therapies in Germany and certified in medical cannabis, he leads IIRM’s global strategy with a focus on transformative collaboration and long-term impact across healthcare ecosystems.
Nils spent several years in the expansive biotech hub of Uppsala, Sweden, working in business development and fostering collaborations between science and industry. Among the early cohort to explore genomics, he also conducted studies under the mentorship of a leading geneticist in Estonia, further strengthening his commitment to advancing pioneering life sciences.
